100 Bridges has changed almost beyond recognition over the last couple of years. It began life as a concept based on an art installation - a literal exploration of movement across water and space, with audience members discovering performances and world in the cracks beneath their feet. Over time, the literal has become the metaphorical, and the piece now exists as a script, set in a hotel room in the United Arab Emirates. This piece, in it's current format, will premiere at The Blackledge Theatre, Salisbury, in early 2012.

Robert, a telecoms engineer facing retirement, is alone in his hotel room, waiting for a phone call from his estranged daughter. Three thousand, eight hundred and twenty three miles of uninterrupted, seamless travel. Bridging distances almost beyond actual human imagination in the time it takes you to stub your toe...
